Govt. will extend full support in Jagdispur-Haldia gas project work : Das
INVC NEWS Ranchi, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the govt. will extend full support in Jagdispur-Haldia gas project work. After its completion, India will take a long leap in clean energy area. Moreover, it is cheap also. The CM said it while talking to Union Petroleum Joint Secretary Mr. Ashish Chatterjee at Project Building.
Mr. Chaterjee said that work on gas pipeline under Jagdispur-Haldia gas project will start from July. Rs. 2500 cr. is being invested in gas pipeline project in Jharkhand. 260 km area in Dobhi to Durgapur section will come under Jharkhand. The project is targeted to be completed in June 2019. City gas distribution work in Ranchi and Jamshedpur will be completed during this period in the first phase. Bokaro-Dhamra gas pipeline work will also be completed during this period. After its completion, there will be two sources of gas availability. Mr. Chaterjee said that 560 km pipeline is being laid in the state. In the second phase, other cities will be considered. PNG and CNG will be provided through city gas.
Sec to CM Mr. Sunil Kr. Barnwal, Industry Director Mr. K. Ravi Kumar, Gas Authority of India Director ( project) Dr. Ashutosh, Executive Director Mr. K. B. Singh and others were present in the meeting.
