The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil, today met the players of the Chandigarh Netball Teams who won Gold Medal in Boys Junior National Netball Championship, silver medal in Girls Federation Cup and Bronze Medal in Boys Federation Cup held in February 2010 at Nasik. Congratulating the players and coaches, Mr. Patil said that our players have attained prowess in this game but much is still needed to be done to compete at national and international levels. He said Chandigarh Administration has created world-class facilities in different disciplines of sports and the players must optimally use all these facilities for achieving the best results in National and International events. Mr. Jagdeep Cheema, Senior Vice President of Chandigarh Netball Association told the Administrator that six players, Ms Pushpa, Ms Navneet, Ms Amandeep Kaur, Kundu, Mr. Ankur Sharma and Mr. O.P. Sharma of Chandigarh Netball Teams represented India in different championships held at Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Pakistan.
