Government providing blood units free of cost to all patients of Haemophilia : Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that Photo Identity Cards were being prepared for all children suffering from Haemophilia by Haryana State Blood Transfusion Council so as to enable them avail of the facilities being provided by the State Government to such patients.

In a message issued on the eve of World Haemophilia Day here today, the Chief Minister described Haemophilia as such a genetic blood disorder in which blood did not clot properly. Those suffering from this disorder are affected physically and emotionally and high cost of treatment adds to their financial stress.

He said that the State Government was providing blood units free of cost to all patients of Haemophilia in government blood banks, free transport facility to all children suffering from Haemophilia in State Roadways buses for travel to the nearest health facility or blood bank for blood transfusion orAnti Haemophilia Factor (AHF) treatment and children suffering from Haemophilia  were entitled to get free education  upto class 10th in government schools. He said that free AHF was being provided through Haemophilia Society, New Delhi, Haemophilia Foundation, Faridabad and District Health Society, Yamunanagar and Panchkula.

Haryana Health Minister, Rao Narender Singh assured support of the State Government to those suffering from Haemophilia. He appealed to the people to donate their blood voluntarily so that there was no shortage of blood in blood banks thus helping those suffering from this genetic blood disorder.
