
Government gave permission for Ganesh worship in Idgah ground – A big controversy arose
A big controversy has erupted over the permission of Ganesh Puja at the Idgah ground in Bengaluru. A large number of police have been deployed around the grounds to handle the matter. Meanwhile, the Waqf Board of the state has approached the Supreme Court against it, senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned the matter for urgent hearing.
He said that the High Court order would create unnecessary tension. The Division Bench of the Karnataka High Court had allowed the Karnataka government to consider the applications seeking use of the Idgah ground at Chamarajpet and pass appropriate directions.
On the security arrangements made near the Idgah ground, DCP Laxman B. Nimbargi (West Division) said that action is being taken against the miscreants for the last 15 days. We are ensuring law and order. On the background of Ganesh Chaturthi also we have had peace meeting with all community leaders.
We have deployed around 1600 police personnel in Chamarajpet. Apart from this, three DCPs, 21 ACPs, around 49 inspectors, 130 PSI and Rapid Action Force (RAF) have also been deployed to ensure peace and harmony. PLC/GT
