Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh said that present State Government was committed for uniform and balanced development of the State with special emphasis on those areas which remained neglected for one or other reasons. He was speaking in a public meeting at Chowkimaniar in Amb area of Una district today after inaugurating 50-bedded hospital at Amb constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.2 crore. He said that the objective of present Government was to become as a pioneering State of the country and was following the motto of ‘Vikas, Vikas  & Samproon Vikas’.

He also laid foundation stones of Primary Health Centre building at Chek Sarai to be constructed at the cost of Rs. 30 lakh, Water Supply Scheme Polian Prohitan to Repoh Misran to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 380.19 lakhs. The scheme would benefit population of 12 villages of the area. He also inaugurated bridge over Lander khad on Sohari Kheksai road constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.45 crore. He also inaugurated bridge over Garni khad on Chowki Minar-Berrian road constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.50 crore.

He also laid foundation stone of Private Senior Secondary School near Amb. On the occasion, Shri Rajesh Gautam, Managing Director of the School Management presented a  cheque of Rs. 31,000 to Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh towards Chief Minister Relief Fund. Chief Minister thanked the management for this noble cause.

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that Chintpurni area was famous religious place of the country and lakhs of devotees visit this shrine round the year. He said that to facilitate the visitors and providing basic amenities infrastructural development was being carried out. He said that a multipurpose complex was being constructed at Chintpurni with a cost of Rs. 45 crore and sewerage project worth. Rs. 7.50 crore was underway.

He said that Una district was being developed as industrial hub of the State and many big industrial houses were coming forward for investing in the district. He said that this would not improve the economy but also provide employment and self employment avenues to the skilled and unskilled youth. He said that Una district witnessed tremendous development during last two years and this tempo would be maintained in future also. He said that Rs. 922 crore Swan Channelization Project, IIIT and oil depot besides numerous IPH, PWD, Forest schemes were being undertaken in the district which showed government’s commitment towards the development of Una district.

Chief Minister appreciated Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri for strongly pursuing the case of Swan River Channelization which was bringing developmental fruits to the people of the district.

He said that State Government had opened various colleges and upgraded schools particularly in remote areas for providing quality education to the students at their homes as a result Himachal Pradesh emerged as one of the leading State in the country in education sector. He said that IGMC and Tanda Medical Colleges had been opened during Congress regimes and three more medical colleges had been sanctioned by UPA Government to the State.

Chief Minister announced science block for Government Senior Secondary School at Jawahar and introducing commerce stream in Government Senior Secondary School, Saloi. He also announced upgradation of  Government High School, Chak Srai to Government Senior Secondary School, Government Middle Schools, Baruhi, Kuthera Kheola to High Schools besides reopening of Government Primary School at Bhabroh. He also announced to open Police Chowki at Jol. He said that playground would be developed   in Senior Secondary School, Chowkimaniar.

Chairman, State Finance Commission and MLA Shri Kuldeep Kumar thanked the Chief Minister for paying special attention for development of Chintpurni assembly constituency. He said that people of Una district would remain indebted to Shri Virbhadra Singh for accelerating the pace of development which was grinding to a halt during the previous government.

President, District Congress Committee Shri Virender Dharmani also spoke on the occasion.

President, Chintpurni Block Congress Committee Shri Pritam Singh welcomed the Chief Minister.

Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Ex MLA Shri Ganesh Dutt Bharwal, Director, BoD, HRTC Shri Rajesh Gautam, Spokesman, District Congress Committee, Shri Vijay Dogra, senior Congress leader Shri Avinash Kapila, Deputy Commissioner Shri Abhishek Jain, senior officers and prominent persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
