The Delhi Police Crime Branch has recently uncovered three extortion modules of the notorious Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang is known for its involvement in various criminal activities, including extortion, murder, and kidnapping. The police have arrested eight shooters of the gang from Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan, of which two are adults and six are minors.

The gang leaders, Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, were using teenagers as a tool for their criminal activities. The Crime Branch has seized six weapons during the operation. The gang has been using minors to extort money from businessmen. According to the Special Commissioner of Crime Branch, Ravindra Kumar Yadav, the gang members, on the instructions of Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, fired shots at the houses of three businessmen in Delhi for not paying extortion money.

The gang had earlier demanded a hefty amount from all three businessmen, and upon refusal, they fired bullets. The gang selects minor boys from remote villages of Haryana and Rajasthan to commit crimes. They threaten and bribe them to carry out their criminal activities. These minors are instructed to procure weapons, bullets, and bikes from different locations so that they cannot be traced if caught.

These minors are given a lot of money for drugs, which makes them happy and ready to do anything as per the instructions of the minor gangster. Their age ranges from 16 to 17 years old. Unfortunately, this trend of big gangsters getting minors to commit crimes has been going on for years. The society and teachers in schools need to make children aware of this issue and prevent them from being lured into such criminal activities.

The minors involved in such criminal activities face severe legal consequences and imprisonment. It destroys their future and leaves them with a criminal record that affects their employability, social status, and mental health. Moreover, minors involved in gangs are exposed to violence, drugs, and abuse, which severely impacts their physical and mental health.

The Way Forward

The involvement of minors in gang activities is a serious issue that needs immediate attention from society. It is the responsibility of parents, teachers, and the community to ensure that children are educated and aware of the dangers of getting involved in gangs. Children must be encouraged to pursue education and other constructive activities that will help them in their future.

The government must also take strict measures to prevent such criminal activities and ensure the safety of citizens. Effective laws and policies must be implemented to tackle the issue of gang violence and the involvement of minors. Furthermore, rehabilitation programs must be established to help minors who have been involved in such activities to reintegrate into society.

The involvement of minors in gang activities is a significant concern that needs to be addressed by society. The Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s recent bust is a testament to the gravity of this issue. It is the responsibility of all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and the government, to take effective measures to prevent minors from being lured into such criminal activities. Only by working together can we ensure a safer and brighter future for our children and society.
