Haryana Governor-Chancellor Bandaru Dattatraya has called upon the educational institutions to provide quality education to students by using new technology based tools so that they get new employment opportunities at the world level.
Shri Dattatraya was speaking as the Chief Guest at the convocation ceremony of Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth (deemed-to-be university) Faridabad today. He said that girls are ahead of boys in every field and with the progress of girls, the entire nation will progress.
Shri Dattatraya said that convocations are historical moments in the life of the students. Our students strive to become job givers instead of job seekers. They should always stay connected to their roots and respect their mother land and mother tongue.
The Governor-Chancellor presented degrees to 750 students of the Vidyapeeth out of which 261 were girl students and 489 were boys. Of these, 85 students were awarded diplomas, 545 graduates and 103 postgraduate degrees. 17 students were awarded PhD degrees.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the new National Education Policy is being implemented. It is employment oriented. In Haryana, the new National Education Policy will be implemented by 2025.
Chancellor of Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth Dr Picheswar Gadde welcomed the Governor-Chancellor and other guests by presenting them mementos. Vice Chancellor Prof Arvind Agarwal apprised the dignitaries about the academic activities going on in the Vidyapeeth. On this occasion Pro Vice Chancellor, Academic, Prof Jaskiran Kaur, Registrar, Prem Kumar Salwan and other officers were present.
