Chennai,

G Square, South India’s largest and most experienced land aggregator and plot promoter, today hosted a beach clean-up initiative at 10 hotspots on the East Coast Road (ECR). Environmentalist Foundation of India was the knowledge partner for this activity.

Around 940 volunteers participated in this the coastal clean-up drive aptly themed ‘Team Up to Clean Up My City, My Coast, My Environment’. They removed the plastic and other garbage strewn across the beaches. The initiative was conducted in adherence to the social distancing norms and the COVID-19 protocols.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Eshwar N., Chief Executive Officer, G Square Realtors Private Limited said, “While many think of India’s west coast as the place to go when they want a beach holiday, the fact that the east coast too is peppered with several beautiful and magnificent beaches is something that theyaren’t aware of or haven’t explored. With a long coastline, Chennai itself boasts of some of the most vibrant beaches that are perfect for some fun time and offer an amazing beach experience. And while it’s the Government’s obligation to keep these beaches clean, as citizens it’s our responsibility too to lend a hand towards the cause wherever we can.”

The clean-up activity took place at…

§  Ashtalakshmi Temple Beach

§  Arupadai Murugan Temple Beach

§  4th Seaward Road Beach (Thiruvanmiyur)

“For us at G Square, the environment is of utmost priority.
