“Alila Takes Me To Bali” initiative will launch immediately at all of Alila’s flagship properties in Bali; Alila Villas Uluwatu, Alila Ubud, Alila Manggis and Alila Seminyak.
In recent months, Bali’s popularity as a travel destination has been adversely affected by the activity of Mount Agung, Bali’s most sacred volcano, resulting in the closure of the airport for two and a half days in November. However, outside the exclusion zone covering approx 10 km radius from the volcano, the rest of Bali which is 98% of the island, still accords safe and carefree holidays in Bali.
In response to this, Alila’s Bali properties have taken action to issue An ALILA ASSURANCE. In the event that our guests are unable to leave Bali on their reserved flights on the day of the airport closure, we guarantee to extend up to two nights’ stay on full board with our compliments. At the same time, we will also provide shared transportation to the closest operating airport and assist in rebooking flights.
Marco Groten, General Manager of Alila Villas Uluwatu, comments, “We need to take action to reassure our guests to continue with their holidays in Bali. This positive gesture from Alila reaffirms our commitment to our guests that they can rely on us to be here for them.”
Alila is strongly committed to social, cultural and environmental responsibilities, and believes this new initiative will contribute greatly to reviving Bali as the most favored travel destination.
