Five Years Rigorous Imprisonment To Then Engineer Of Ndmc In A Cbi Case

The ACMM, Karkardooma, Delhi has convicted Sh. Upender Kumar Prasad the then Junior Engineer (Civil), New Delhi Municipal Council(NDMC), New Delhi and sentenced him to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 60,000/- in a CBI case.  A case was registered by CBI in June 2005 against Shri Upender Kumar Prasad, Junior Engineer(Civil), NDMC, New Delhi, on the allegations that he had obtained employment in 1994 on the basis of forged Scheduled Tribe Certificate.  After thorough investigation, a chargesheet was filed against the accused in the Court during August 2006. After trial, the Court found the accused guilty of cheating & forgery and convicted him.
