Everything is under control
Confirming the unfortunate report, Deputy Commissioner M. K. Aravinda Kumar said that since this patient was found suspected and was quarantined within time he failed to get in touch with any other outsider.
“We quarantined 15 persons and report of 14 has already been received as negative. Earlier the report of three of them was sent again after 48 hours of the first report and report of two of them were negative,” the DC said. Report of this patient was sent to Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, Government Medical College Patiala.
He pointed out that as per the preliminary investigations the patient was a part of a group of people from Meerut and had been staying temporarily in Muktsar in view of the curfew.
He stated that everything is under control and the person found positive is not allowed to mingle with any outsider and will be treated soon. His treatment has already started in isolation facility Covid Care Hospital in Muktsar.
