Every religion preaches us the values of humanity : CM

INVCINVC NEWS Shimla, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that Himachal was abode of Gods and the people had unflinching faith in the deities. He was addressing a congregation of saints after receiving 'Padyatra' of Jaikrishani Panth at Solan today in which a large number of people from the town also participated. Shri Virbhadra Singh said that every religion preaches us the values of humanity, tolerance and respect for all and sincere efforts should be made to uphold these values. He said that efforts should be made to make various religious places a center of motivation and inspiration for the mankind to follow path of truth, love and non violence. He said that the lives of the people of the State revolve around the local deities which were part of every ceremony and rituals. He welcomed the 'Padyatra' which started from Maharashtra and hoped that it would inspire one and all to serve suffering humanity in a more befitting manner. Gopi Raj Maharaj, head of the Jaikrishani panth, welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed about the objectives of panth. Later, the Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of Shri Krishan Temple Charitable Trust at Jaunaji road in solan. The Chief Minister later also inspected ongoing construction work of Rs. 26 crore mini secretariat at Solan and directed to complete it by 15 of May. He inspected construction work of circuit house, being constructed at a cost of about Rs.8 crore. He directed PWD officials to complete various developmental projects in Solan district with in a stipulated time period. He inquired about the status of Shamti Bye Pass being constructed at a cost of about Rs. 26 crore giving further directions to the officers to adhere to time limit for its completion. Earlier the Chief Minister led the State in paying floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their 86th Martyrdom day at Shaheed Samarak Chambaghat. Ex MLA Major Krishna Mohini, President  DCC Solan Shri Rahul Thakur,  Chairman Jogindra Co-op. Bank  Shri Mohan Mehta, Secretary PCC Shri Vinod Sultanpuri, President Truck Union Solan Shri Hardev Singh,  Chairman APMC Solan Shri Ramesh Thakur, Member State Animal Welfare Board Shri Rajender Thakur,  Chief Engineer Shri Ashok Chauhan, DC Solan Shri Rakesh Kanwar, SP  Ms. Anjum Ara and other prominent people were present on the occasion.
