Haryana Government has decided to felicitate the youth for becoming entrepreneurs after passing ITI courses from government and private industrial training institutes (ITI’s) of the state with a view to connect them with entrepreneurship. The objective of this scheme is to encourage self-employment among the youth who have passed out from ITI institutes of Haryana State.

        Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma said that a new scheme has been approved for this. Under this scheme, three best entrepreneurs at the district level will be honoured with an entrepreneur award of cash prize of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs 5,000 respectively. The awards will be presented by the chief guest on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26 every year.

        He said that out of all these 66 Entrepreneur Award winners at the district level, three entrepreneurs would be honoured by the Chief Minister at the state level function on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day on July 15. State Level Award of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 30,000 will be given to the first, second and third winner candidates respectively.

        He said that for inviting applications for this award, an advertisement will be issued by the department in the month of October every year.

Sh. Mool Chand Sharma said that under this scheme, only those entrepreneurs would be considered for the award, who have started their business or enterprise in the same trade under which they have passed ITI. Candidates should have started their business at any place in Haryana or Chandigarh within 4 years of passing ITI.
