Elon Musk said politics is war and truth is the first casualty, as he attacked Democrats and supported Republicans during the US midterm election. He tweeted, “While it’s true that I have been subjected to unfair and deceptive attacks by Democrats for some time, my motivation is for centrist rule, which is in the interest of the majority of Americans.”
Musk responded to Pranay Pathole who said that Elon has always been a Democratic supporter but the hatred he is receiving from Democratic senators is horrifying. Tesla CEO said, politics is war and truth is the first casualty.
He further said that Twitter is the most interesting place on the Internet. Musk commented, Twitter is the worst! But also the best. Indeed, Musk said on Monday that Americans should vote Republican in the midterm election.
He told independent minded voters that shared power prevents the worst excesses of both the parties. The Twitter CEO posted to his nearly 115 million followers—so, I recommend voting for a Republican congressman, given that the presidency is Democratic.
Hardcore Democrats or Republicans never vote for the other side, Musk said, so independent voters are the ones who really decide who’s in charge. Musk has long been an advocate of free speech, sparking apprehension for many as he fears the site will be left without rules. PLC/GT
