New Delhi : Driving License is a very important document for any vehicle owner and in such a situation, if this important document of yours has expired or is about to expire, then there is a need to renew it. Here we are going to tell you how you can get your driving license online sitting at home. Driving license can be renewed. Let us know its step-by-step process.
Time remains for 30 days
If the validity of the driving license has expired, the government gives 30 days to renew it. If you are late then you have to pay a fine. To renew the license, some steps have to be followed which are mentioned below.
These steps have to be followed
Step 1- https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/ This is the official site of the Transport Ministry. First of all you have to go to this.
Step 2- Here the option of Online Services will appear on the home page. On which to click.
Step 3- After this you have to click on Driving License Related Services.
Step 4- Here you have to select your state and then a new page will open. In which Apply for DL renewal option will be visible on the third number.
Step 5- After clicking on this, guidelines will appear, which you will have to follow during this period.
Step 6- After this you will have to fill DL number, DOB, captcha and then proceed.
After this you will have to follow some more steps sequentially. After this submit the final and the driving license will be sent to your address. Keep in mind that if your age is beyond 40, you will have to fill Form 1A and get it certified by a doctor. This form can be downloaded from the Transport Department site.
