Since ages romance has been the main ingredient for that perfect formula Bollywood movie. And keeping up with the trend is yet another romantic flick releasing this monsoon – ‘Love U Soniyo’ – which marks the debut of yesteryears’ actress Rati Agnihotri’s son Tanuj Virwani and Miss India 2010 Neha Hinge. Directed by Joe Rajan, the movie also stars Bunty Grewal – model-turned-actor who is back in action after having tasted commercial success in Punjabi cinema. The star cast was in town for the promotion of ‘Love U Soniyo’ that is all set for its release on July 26. Even though this isn’t a new launch pad for Chandigarh-based Grewal, he shared his excitement about the movie saying, “Love U Soniyo is a refreshing movie. It is full of life and entertainment. The concept is different and the movie is for people who understand romance and life in its true sense.” While Grewal came across as a bit more experienced one in the league, what’s catching the fancy of audience and most-importantly critics is Tanuj, the new kid on the block, who seemed confident and exuded groomed acting skills, as he talked about his upcoming movie and love for being in front of the camera. “Ever since I read the script of ‘Love U Soniyo’, I wanted to be a part of it. I could simply relate to the entire feel and character of the movie,” said Tanuj, who has also worked as an assistant director in movies ‘Aao Wish Karein’ and ‘Chance Pe Dance’. While Tanuj – the lead male character, plays a Catholic boy in the film, Neha – the female lead – plays a Punjabi girl. Produced by Harsh Jain, Beena Mehta and Joe Rajan and distributed by Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd, the romantic saga reflects a youthful exuberance of today’s generation. It is a story about Mark & Soniyo, who since their childhood have been brought together by fate, time after time, only to be drawn apart each time. But destiny has its’ own plan in store for these two who belong to two completely different worlds. The music has been given by Vipin Patwa, while veteran singer and composer Remo Fernandes’ energetic voice in the foot tapping title track is sure to strike a chord with the audience. The Goan pop singer, who rose to fame with his hit song of the 90s ‘Humma Humma’ besides other interesting compositions like ‘Dekho Dekho ye hai Jalwa, Pyar to Hona He tha among others, said, “I am back in the music scene after a long time with something that the audience will enjoy. I hope they appreciate my compositions like before.” The screenplay of the movie has been given by Shreya Tawde. The editor is Deven Murdeshwar while the cinematography has been done by Kalpesh Bhandarkar.
