In Exercise of the powers conferred under section 12 (2) of Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Act, 2009 as amended from time to time, 
Hon'ble Governor and the Chancellor, Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur has appointed Dr. Bal Krishan Sharma Kaushik as the next Vice-Chancellor, for a period of three years.
Dr. Bal Krishan Sharma Kaushik, M.D., Ph.D, belongs to Patiala, will join as Vice-Chancellor, Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur from 11.09.2019. He has 18 years experience as Professor (HOD) of Dravyaguna (Pharmacology) over a career spanning more than 37 years for the purpose of promoting education in the field of Ayurveda.
He also remained as Member Secretary, Punjab State Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicines and Medical Superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Patiala. He is also honored with many awards.
