AU REVOIR” THE BATCH OF 2010-2013, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh celebrated its FAREWELL on 17th April,2013 by bidding good bye to the Final year students of 3 year B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration and Diploma students of Food Production where the juniors staged different performances venerating their seniors.The Principal, Mrs. Bharti Tyagi welcomed the passing out batch to the spectacular show of music, dance and action. She said that the cultural programme performed by the students of the college was a testimony to the college commitment not only to academics but also to art, dance and theatre. She also said, “The show was an endeavour to give the students maximum exposure to aesthetics and fine arts of the highest order”. A Senior lecturer, Mr. Arvind Varma’s voice choked while he said ,“We did not expect the time to flow so quickly it seems as if it was just yesterday while we saw them entering this BIG WORLD of reality with a smile on their face and passion in their eyes “ The show started with a band performance relating to the life of the third years with their college life, continued by titles followed by “NA-REAL returns”-a sequel of NA-REAL AWARDS –THE awards that are not real, throwing torch to all the mischievous activities done throughout the college life of the third years. The function concluded with an energetic, vibrant and colourful Bhangra which showcased the rich culture of Punjab.The sequence was just fantabolously handled by the clubs of the college especially the kitchen preparing mouth watering food and the mocktails “Witches Brew” served by the food and beverage club blending exactly with the theme “The Pirates Treasure Hunt” and ”The Haunted Ridge ”. Then the occasion made the nerves ready to dance at the open air disco floor made ecstatically to bid a goodbye to the moving batch.
