This time there will be a partial solar eclipse in countries around the world on October 25 and it will happen just after the festival of Diwali.

The Diwali Surya grahan 2022 will begin in the afternoon before sunset and will be visible from most areas. This Diwali Surya grahan 2022 will be the second and last solar eclipse of the year 2022. Diwali is on 24th October while there is a solar eclipse (Surya Grahan) on 25th October 2022. This will be a partial solar eclipse. Where will it be seen in the country and abroad

The first solar eclipse of the year going to happen on October 25 will be visible in different parts of Europe, North East Africa and West Asia. In some places it can also be seen in India. In India, the second and last solar eclipse of the year will be visible in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Ujjain, Varanasi and Mathura. While this will not be possible from some eastern regions of the country including Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as north-eastern cities of Aizawl, Dibrugarh, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Sibsagar, Silchar and Tamelong.

When and why does solar eclipse happen

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, preventing sunlight from reaching the Earth. Due to which the moon casts a shadow on the earth and some part of the sun is not visible. There are three types of solar eclipse – partial, annular and total solar eclipse.

how to watch solar eclipse

Solar eclipse should not be seen with open eyes. It can be done safely by using appropriate filters like aluminized mylar, black polymer, shade number 14 welding glasses or by viewing the image of the Sun on a white board through a telescope. Even though the Moon hides most of the Sun, it will cause lifelong eye damage and blindness.
