The 8th Edition of Seagram’s Blenders Pride Fashion Tour will showcase chic and the best from the fashion industry, promising to make the world a stylish place. The designers featuring this season of the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour are Ashish N Soni, Asmita Marwa, Gaviin Miguel, Mandira Wirk, Nandita Mahtani, Neeta Lulla, Nida Mahmood, Pankaj & Nidhi, Raghavendra Rathore, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Shantanu & Nikhil, Vikram Phadnis and Wendell Rodricks.
BPFT 2012 will commence in Chandigarh on September 15 and conclude on November 4 in Mumbai, an exciting 50 day journey. From Chandigarh to Mumbai, 6 cities will play host to the work of 13 fabulous designers and their spectacular creations, at what can only be called a benchmark on the Indian fashion calendar. The Bollywood Diva and fashion icon Priyanka Chopra has been appointed by Pernod Ricard India as the Brand Ambassador for BLENDER’s PRIDE FASHION TOUR 2012. Priyanka Chopra features in a multimedia campaign
for BPFT shot stylishly in black & white by ace lens man Bharat Sikka. As the event ambassador, her stylish persona and global fashion sensibilities will be a super attraction. “The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour is about style, confidence, and attitude. Priyanka Chopra mirrors this instinctively and very naturally.” adds Bikram Basu, VP-Marketing, Pernod Ricard India.
After a grand preview in Mumbai on September 2, the eagerly awaited fashion extravaganza kick starts in Chandigarh at Hotel Mount View over the weekend, featuring Mandira Wirk and Wendell Rodricks on day 2 of BPFT.
Here is a collection that will thrill brides around the world as Mandira Wirk presents her creations inspired by the English Bride called “Veils – Unveiled”. From soft fresh ivory with muted silver to very powdery hues of aqua, lilac, lemon, peach and pink in different shades, the colours are just perfect for the beautiful gowns and minis with the perfect hint of sparkle. Sensational Sophie Choudhry features as celebrity for Mandira Wirk.
The Grand Finale for BPFT’s Chandigarh edition featured Wendell Rodricks whose collection is inspired by the new Blenders Pride celebration pack created by him. Wendell Rodricks works on a backdrop of black and adds a splash of hot colours like chilli red, glow yellow, hot pink and neon orange for his collection called “Fash Splash”. The name spells beach and resort glamour that moves effortlessly for the Red Carpet walk. Perfect for the festive season just around the corner, Wendell keeps the silhouettes very stylish and western with a hint of fusion touches. Former Model and actor Evelyn Sharma featured as Wendell’s showstopper.
The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2011 is supported by the best in the Industry- Alison Kanuga for choreography, Ambika Pillai for makeup and features only the finest runway models.
