Desh Bhagat University conferred ‘ET Business Achievers’ Award

Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has been conferred with ‘ET Now Achievers of The North Award’. University Chancellor Dr Zora Singh received the award at Mount View Hotel, Chandigarh for the outstanding performance in the field of education. Dy Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal was the Chief Guest on this award ceremony.

In a glittering ceremony held at Mount View Hotel a coffee table book that included profiles of 27 awardees was also released by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Punjab Revenue Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia & famous actor Jimmy Shergill.

Speaking on the occasion Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal appreciated the contribution of all entrepreneurs for uplifting the Punjab in various fields. He further said that all achievers have made the region proud with their success stories. After receiving the Award for Excellence in the field of education, Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Chairman, Desh Bhagat Group & Chairman, Desh Bhagat Radio thanked the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal for recognition of the services of DBU & he promised that university shall stay committed for making Punjab a knowledge hub of the northern India by setting benchmark as an excellent learning centre. Desh Bhagat University is the only university to receive this award in the field of education in north India.

On this occasion Top 27 business houses of the country were presented the awards for their achievement and to salute their invaluable contribution in transforming the economy of the region and putting North India on the global map. Popular Sufi Singer Lakhwinder Wadali enthralled the audience, followed by fashion show by Adaah Couture
