Delhi Police Busts Job Scam Gang

New Delhi : The Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police has exposed a gang that cheats huge amounts of money in the name of jobs. 4 people including 3 women have been arrested in this case. The allegation against them is that they used to cheat people of huge amount in the name of jobs.

According to the police, this gang used to call 500 people every day and offer them jobs. People used to come to their office in the name of job, where this gang used to extort money from them and then switch the office and mobile and change their place of residence. Till now this gang has called 80 thousand people.

According to the police, these people used to call about 500 people every day from their office and promised to get them jobs in big companies. Actually, he had also opened an office named Digi Recruiter in Nehru Place. People of this gang used to make calls from here and target innocent people.

According to the Economic Offenses Wing, 29 people complained to him a few days ago. In the complaint, it was said that he suddenly received a call a few months ago, the callers said that they would get him a job in Delhi Metro or Amazon. After this, some of these people went to Nehru Place where there was an office named Digi Recruiter, it was a kind of placement agency from where fraudsters used to call people.

Here, money was taken from people in the name of getting jobs and after that the accused closed their office and ran away.

This placement agency in Nehru Place was opened in early 2023 and closed after two-three months. Police investigated this case and after technical investigation, four accused Yogita, Hemlata Nikita and Asad are included. They were arrested. The accused had currently opened their placement agency in Kaushambi area of Delhi.

During police interrogation, it was found that these people used to call about 500 people every day and lure them with the promise of jobs. After that he used to call many people for interview and take money in the name of job. Later he would switch off his mobile. Police informed that till now they have called 80 thousand people. They have taken numbers of people through online job portal. At present the police is investigating this matter.
