The Delhi government has ordered a ban on the use of Chinese manjha. For this, strict instructions have been issued to all the concerned departments. On the other hand, Environment Minister Gopal Rai appealed to the people not to use Chinese Manjha. The minister said that if anyone is found using or selling it, punitive action will be taken against him.

Chinese manjha is banned in Delhi since 2017. Despite this, if someone is caught using or making manjha, he is sentenced to five years and a fine of one lakh. Giving more information about this, Minister Gopal Rai said that around August 15, kite flying becomes more popular among Delhiites. But in the midst of this game of kite flying, every year the news of accidents due to Chinese manjha also comes to the fore.

From January 10, 2017, the use and sale of Chinese Manjha has been banned in the capital Delhi. Despite this, some kite flyers use it every year on 15th August, as a result of which a lot of animals and birds get trapped in the strings. Also, it creates a danger to the pedestrians crossing the road.
