Decision will be taken soon on Chouhan's discussion

chouhanINVC NEWS New Delhi, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Urban Development, Housing and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu and Agriculture Minister Shri Radha Mohan Singh in New Delhi today. Shri Chouhan urged Shri Naidu for Central assistance for Simhastha to be held at Ujjain next year and National Institute of Good Governance and Urban Management at Bhopal. He also discussed other projects of Madhya Pradesh with Shri Naidu. Shri Chouhan urged Shri Naidu to expand FAR limits of the building to be constructed in place of existing Madhya Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi. He informed that the existing building at Chanakyapuri is outside Lutyan’s Zone and its FAR limits should be expanded in accordance with recently approved relaxations given by Urban Development Ministry. Shri Naidu directed officers to examine and consider it. The Chief Minister urged for early release of funds to complete various projects sanctioned under JNNURM. He said that work of these projects can be completed expeditiously if funds earmarked by the Centre earlier are released early. Shri Naidu said that this issue is under consideration and a decision will be taken soon. About financial assistance for Ujjain Kumbh Mela, Shri Naidu said that similar requests have been received from other states and consultation with concerning Union Ministers is also necessary. He said that his Ministry is keen to increase capacity of urban bodies and appropriate action will be taken after discussions on Madhya Pradesh’s proposals with concerning persons. About Bhopal metro rail project, Shri Naidu said that his ministry will consider it following receipt of DPR. Agriculture Minister During meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan discussed issues of greater supply of fertilisers to Madhya Pradesh, leveling of ravines, agriculture growth etc. He also discussed release of relief package to Madhya Pradesh in accordance with Vision Document for agriculture chalked out by the state. Agriculture Minister Shri Singh assured of early decision on the issues discussed by the Chief Minister. He said that state government’s appeal to increase allocation of all kinds of fertiliser to 68 lakh tones will be examined soon. He asked the Chief Minister to send a proposal for leveling ravines for agriculture as well as agriculture insurance scheme. Shri Singh said that benefits fish farming and dairy farming in accordance with programmes of National Fisheries Board and National Dairy Development Board should also be included in Vision Document of Madhya Pradesh. Shri Chouhan expressed gratitude towards the Union Agriculture Minister for evincing keen interest in agriculture growth of Madhya Pradesh. He said that Madhya Pradesh will not lag behind in wheat production. Railway Minister Chief Minister Shri Chouhan met Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu at Rail Bhavan and urged him to ensure completion of railway lines important from point of view of Simhastha. Large number devotees from northern and southern India will come to Simhastha 2016. Railways is converting Ratlam-Indore-Mhow-Khandwa meter gauge line to broad gauge. Besides, Shri Chouhan also urged for linking of Delhi-Kota-Ratlam line 22 kms away from Chintaman railway station of Ujjain city with Fatehabad on priority. The Chief Minister held discussions with the Rail Minister on Indore-Pithampur railway line under PPP mode, 35 pending railway over-bridges in the state and making model logistics hub. Shri Chouhan invited the Rail Minister to visit logistics hub coming up at Pawarkhera. Railway Minister Shri Prabhu assured to visit Madhya Pradesh and for early completion of railway projects at the earliest. Besides, he also assured for rationalization of public private partnership process.
