Uttarkashi : On the incarnation day of Mother Yamuna, the date of opening the doors of Yamunotri, the first major pilgrimage site of Char Dham, was announced in the meeting of the priest society. This time the doors of Yamunotri Dham will be opened on the holy festival of Akshaya Tritiya on 10th May at 10.29 am on Rohini Nakshatra.
Giving information, Maa Yamuna’s priest Manmohan Uniyal and Purohit Mahasabha President Purushottam Uniyal said that before this, Maa Yamuna’s palanquin will leave for Yamunotri Dham at Kharshaligaon at 6.15 am. Yamuna’s brother Shanidev Maharaj will also go to Yamunotri Dham to bid farewell to his sister.
