INVC, Chandigarh, Further strengthening their ties in the India market, the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) will soon be organizing a three-city roadshow in Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Hyderabad in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Realizing the potential of these booming growth markets, CTC has been planning to market their brand amongst the travel agents in these cities. The tourism board had earlier organised roadshows in Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad for the first time in December 2012 since its inception in India. With over 300 attendees in all three cities, CTC received an overwhelming response from the participants.
The tremendous growth in Gujarat’s infrastructure and economy indicates a great purchasing power making it the next most probable exposition to market a brand. On a path to expansion, CTC will target the affluent middle class and upper class segment of the Gujarati community in Ahmedabad early next month.
“We start our roadshows next month, and we are looking forward to receive an excellent response from these markets similar to what we got in 2012,” says Tina Singh, Assistant Vice President, Canadian Tourism Commission, India.
As a part of the roadshow, CTC team India will be giving presentations on its four major provincial partners- British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. There will also be educative seminars on the Canadian Specialist Program, which is aimed at educating the travel agents about the destination.
The training sessions which are going to be organized ahead of the major launch of Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) in November will pave a way for further awareness of the latter.
Positioning itself as a premier four season destination, CTC has been receiving a decent growth in Indian arrivals over the years. CTC hopes to sustain its traffic from the India market amidst the economic slowdown in the country, and will continue to promote the destination through trade and business events.
