Considering India’s potential as one of the most important emerging markets, the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) is all set to launch the Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) collection on November 26, 2013 in New Delhi.
Celebrating a single, made-in Canada visitor experience, the collection represents large and small companies, rural, urban and remote experiences and visitor experiences that are offered to mass and niche markets. It engages visitors in a series of memorable travel activities revealed over time that are inherently personal, engage the senses, and make connections on an emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social level. The launch which is scheduled to be held at Canada House will also host a networking reception over cocktails for CTC’s key accounts from various Indian cities. The event will be addressed by Siobhan Chretien, Regional Managing Director, Emerging M.M.Khanna,Markets along with CTC India Team. The destination continues to attract a large number of Indian travellers to its shores. As per the latest figures available, CTC has registered a growth of 7.1 per cent in Indian arrivals for the month of August, 2013 over the same period last year. Taking in account the increase in the affluent Indian middle class, the tourism board is on an expansion plan targeting the newer growth areas of Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. “Being the second largest country in the world, Canada offers a plethora of experiences to its travellers. So far, we have majorly been promoting our four provincial partners-Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. With the launch of CSE, we are excited to introduce the endless discoveries that Canada offers to the Indian travellers,” says SanJeet, Representative, CTC India.  Canada has often been touted as one of the most visitor friendly destinations and is home to some most picturesque scenic driveways, UNESCO World Heritage sites, national parks and the world famous Rocky Mountains.
