Ahead of the monsoon session, the Congress convened a meeting of its Parliamentary Strategy Committee, chaired by Sonia Gandhi. Jairam Ramesh, P. Chidambaram, K.C. Venugopal, Shakti Singh Gohil, Mallikarjun Kharge, Manish Tewari, Manickam Tagore, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury etc. have been included.
In the meeting, the party has decided that issues like rising LPG prices, Agneepath scheme, China issue, unemployment, attacks on federal structure and falling rupee, hate speech will be raised in both the houses.
Along with this, the party will also raise the issue of atrocities on minorities. At the same time, the way the party will take up the action being taken on the leaders of the opposition with the help of ED in the house.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, which bill or what issue the government will bring, it is not yet known. But there is no dearth of issues in the country. There are many issues ‘Modi ji, then many issues are possible’, while how many issues will be allowed to be raised, we do not know, the challenge is before us.
Issues are the issue in front of the country all around, economic conditions are shrinking, communal tensions are also increasing. This will be very harmful for the country. Everyone is worried about the slogans that our country is facing like separating the head from the body and at the same time ending the Muslim society.
The monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 18 and will continue till August 12. Senior Congress leaders have made it clear that the Congress will also demand a debate on these issues from the government in the House. PLC/GT
