Congress Party would contest the ensuing assembly poll on development plank : Bhupinder Singh Hooda

Bhupinder Singh HoodaINVC, Chandigarh, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the hopes and aspirations of people for which they have given mandate to BJP or Modi are now turning  into disappointment as inflation is at its peak in the country. Mr. Hooda was interacting to media persons at Narnaul today. He said that price of diesel was being increased 50 paisa per litre every month and general public would have to bear this financial burden. The policies and objectives of Central Government would become further clear in the first budget to be presented in the next few days, he added. The Chief Minister said that State Government has strongly advocated Bhakhra Main Line Hansi Butana Branch Canal case and it is hoped that court decision would go in favour of the government. After that, people of Southern Haryana would get adequate water for irrigation purpose. In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said that Congress Party would contest the ensuing assembly poll on development plank. Today people belonging to each and every section of society in the state are satisfied as a result of developmental oriented programmes and policies of the State Government. He said that present state government has spent a sum of Rs.2396.68 crore for the development of district Mahendragarh during last nine and half years whereas Rs.370.42 crore was incurred by previous government during their tenure. On being asked to comment on Southern Haryana lacking any  big industry, Mr. Hooda said that industrial estates of Gurgaon and Faridabad districts are parts of Southern Haryana  and there is also a proposal to set up industrial model town at Mahendragarh. In reply to another query, the Chief Minister said that State Government has created large scale employment opportunities in public and private sector and it is being developed as an education hub. As a result of all these developmental centric policies, Haryana has reached at number one position in the country  in a number of fields, he added. On being asked to comment on slowness in construction of buildings and roads in the state, Mr. Hooda said that ban on mining had resulted in shortage of construction material. However,  now auction of mining had already been carried out and now  construction material would become available after environment clearance. This would fasten the pace of ongoing developmental works, he further added. When his attention was drawn towards party high command indication about leadership change in Congress led states, Mr. Hooda had expressed ignorance and said that he has only come to know about it through newspapers. On being asked to comment on differences within the Congress party workers and leaders, Mr. Hooda said that ideological differences often occurs within party but there is no dispute. President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Dr. Ashok Tanwar said that there is not polarization in workers meetings as such meetings are organized  to give them a platform to speak. Those present on the occasion included Health Minister, Rao Narender Singh and Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Rao Dan Singh and Anita Yadav.
