In order to inculcate interest for the Science subject among the students of state, the Punjab Government has decided to arrange free tours for the students to the Science City, Kapurthala under its flagship Chief Minister Vigyan yatra. The Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Parkash Singh Badal would kick start this scheme on 18thFebruary from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Phase-3-B-1, Mohali by flagging off first bus to Science City. It was disclosed by Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema in a press communiqué after having visited the venue in Phase 3B1 Mohali.
Divulging the detail Dr. Cheema said that under this scheme daily 1100 students would be taken to Science City Kapurthala. He said that one bus from each district carrying 50 students would be flagged off for the science city. The entry fees at the science city and mode of transport would be arranged by the Punjab Government. He said the the students of government schools from 6th class to 12th class would be covered under this scheme.
