Delegation of journalists led by Arvind Awasthi, State Head of Chhattisgarh Working Jouralist Union, paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today at his Raipur based residence office. Delegation honoured Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and thanked him for the decisions taken in the interest of journalists.
Awasthi said that Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is a well-wisher of the journalists of the state. He has been working in the interest of journalists, ensuring quick redressal of their grievances. Mr. Awasthi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel,State Government has provided accreditation to the editors of monthly newspaper and also, the duration of accreditation renewal has been extended from one to two years. During COVID crisis, journalists were provided financial aid for treatment and the families of the deceased were also provided financial aid in their difficult times. Meanwhile, journalists also handed over a memorandum of their demands, to which Chief Minister assured of considering on a compassionate note. On the occasion, Union General Secretary Mr. Vishwa Deepak Rai and a large number of journalists from various districts of the state were present.
