World heavy weight and Commonwealth heavy weight wrestling champion Tiger Rapta called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here yesterday evening. Tiger Rapta hails from Chopal area of Shimla district.
The Chief Minister while honouring Tiger Rapta with Himachali cap and shawl, said that the state was proud of the achievements of Tiger Rapta.
Tiger Rapta apprised the Chief Minister about his achievements in world wrestling. He said that after winning the World heavy weight championship, he has also won the Commonwealth heavyweight championship held at Port Elizabeth in South Africa. He said that after the victory Indian National Anthem was played, which was the most memorable moment of his life.
