CITCO to spend Rs 100 lakh to support industry
Today in a meeting of the Board of Directors of CITCO it has been decided that CITCO would spend Rs 100 lakh to support the Industry of Chandigarh by way of purchase of high-technology testing and allied equipments at CITCO’s Industrial Development Facility Centre for extending facilities to the SSI units of this region. This was disclosed bWith the commissioning of new machines, the entire Calibration Lab will then get accreditation/ certification from National Accreditations Board of Laboratories (NABL). CITCO Board of Directors also appreciated the efforts of the Corporation to strengthen its base in the Petroleum Sector by taking over Petrol Station in Sector-56 which adheres to quality and quantity parameters for efficient services on the highway leading Punjab.
CITCO is conscious about its responsibilities as a Public Sector Undertaking to ensure security at its hotels thus the Board approved purchase of X-Ray Baggage Scanners at a cost of about Rs.50 lakh to be installed at CITCO’s prestigious Hotels Mountview and Shivalikview.
The Board of Directors of CITCO also took note of the renovation plans being undertaken in Hotel Shivalikview to give new international class facilities at a cost of Rs.6.50 crore.
As part of CITCO’s corporate strategic marketing plans, the Board approved the launching of paid Silver and Gold privilege cards against annual membership fee @ Rs 1000 for Silver Card and Rs 2500 for Gold Card which shall entitle its holder to enjoy heavy discount on food and rooms etc, and special privileges in Hotel Mountview and CITCO Units.
