Chandigarh,11.06.13:Young Indians (Yi) an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is holding a 6 day Summer Camp for the underprivileged children from in and around the city at the CII Yi Vividha Centre here in Kaimbwala, Chandigarh. Yi ViVidha- a learning centre is conceptualized as a place where the underprivileged children get a peek into the large world of books, games and other learning aids. The camp started today and will run till 15 June 2013. The objective is to provide an interactive learning platform to these kids in which they learn while they also have fun. The under privileged kids do not get a chance to enjoy summer vacations-the best time for children, thus CII Yi came up with this idea to provide them with an opportunity to learn, play and have fun with the Faculty members who are all basically from CII Yi Chandigarh Tricity chapter. The camp would focus on activities like thumb printing, foot printing, flower pot making, lamp designing, motivational, creative and team building videos and games and public speaking sessions. “This summer camp would mainly focus at building curiosity and imbibing creativity and self assurance amongst the underprivileged kids. Besides the usual summer camp activities like painting, dancing, art-craft, the 6-day camp will also focus on personality development of these kids by way of various motivational sessions”, shared Mr Robin Aggarwal – Chair, CII Yi Chandigarh Tricity Chapter. “An Exhibition will be also organised on the last day of the summer camp which will display the craft items and cards made by these underprivileged children” quoted Mr Jaiprakash Hasrajani, Co-Chair-CII Yi Chandigarh Tricity Chapter.
