Sh. For providing security to the rural population, we would be involving the Amritsar Rural Police. This would help in promoting and assisting the industry located in the rural areas of the city, he added. “Considering that Amritsar being an industrial town with large migrant population of Punjab, the city has its own set of challenges and to overcome these we are launching an App for the verification of migrant labourers. This would help in further enhancing the security measures in the city.”

Our objective of the meeting is primarily to apprise the officials on some of the challenges pertaining to the security and law & order faced by industry and common citizens, besides exploring areas where CII and the local police authorities can work together.”
Karan Verma, said, “The Police and the industry should work together on security issues. There are no two thoughts about the fact that a proactive and stimulating attitude, both from industry and the local police administration, could help in better law enforcement and instilling a sense of discipline among citizens.”
