Russia has blocked the website of US government agencies CIA and FBI on charges of spreading false information. Russia’s communications regulator Roskomnadzor gave this information on Friday.
The statement explained that it has restricted access to government agencies of hostile countries for dissemination of false material intended to destabilize the socio-political situation in Russia. There are two American websites in these. Both had published false material and information with the intent to discredit the Russian Armed Forces.
Top US lawmaker Michael McCaul has alleged that a Pakistan-based American NGO has links with banned terror groups. He claimed that the NGO received financial assistance from the US Agency for International Development. In a letter dated January 24 to USAID Administrator Samantha Power, the MP has sought to stop helping the NGO concerned till the allegations are investigated. PLC/GT
