Chouhan held discussion with Raje in NITI Ayog
INVC NEWS New Delhi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia held discussions with senior officers of Union Finance Ministry about process to be adopted to allocate funds to states under Centrally sponsored schemes in the changed scenario at NITI Ayog in New Delhi today. It is noteworthy that Shri Chouhan is the Convener of Sub-Group on rationalisation of states’ share in Centrally sponsored schemes and funding pattern etc. The Sub-Group had held its meeting on April 27 where members of the committee including Chief Ministers of Manipur, Arunachal, Jharkhand and Rajasthan and Finance Minister of Jammu-Kashmir were present. The meeting held detailed discussions with officers of 10 important Central Government departments on schemes and procedures for rationalizing them for better implementation. The meeting decided to send members as well as teams of NITI Ayog to the four directions of the country to know opinion of Chief Ministers of other states. It was also decided at that meeting to hold discussions with senior officers of Union Finance Department. NITI Ayog’s CEO Smt. Sindhushri Khullar informed the Chief Minister that the teams have started work in 2 directions while teams in other 2 directions will also collect suggestions. After collection of all opinions and suggestions including those of working groups’ members and Chief Ministers of other states, a draft will be presented at Sub-Group’s meeting at Bhopal on May 28. State’s Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa and senior officers were also present at the meeting.
