China will lift the ban imposed three years ago to prevent the spread of Kovid-19. China announced this on Monday from its country’s embassy in Washington, US. The embassy notice states that the process of review and approval of new travel documents will now begin. In addition, holders of valid visas issued before March 28, 2020 will be allowed to enter China once again.

The Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that regions in China that did not require visas before the pandemic will revert to visa-free entry. This will include the southern tourist island of Hainan and cruise ships passing through Shanghai port. Visa-free entry to the southern manufacturing hub of Guangdong for foreigners from Hong Kong and Macau will also be resumed. The ministry also said that foreigners holding visas issued before March 28, 2020, will also be able to enter China.
