People from all over the country will come together to seek blessings from Chhathi Maiya and worship the Sun God and seek blessings from him. All of us will seek blessings for the health and progress of ourselves and our family, all the people of the country.

For two years we were not able to celebrate Chhath Puja on a large scale in public because there was Corona. Although everyone celebrated Chhath festival in their respective homes, but the way we all used to come out and celebrate Chhath festival collectively, they could not celebrate it.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that ever since our government was formed in Delhi, we have started the process of celebrating this festival in a grand manner. Earlier Chhath Puja was celebrated in Delhi on a very small scale. In 2014, Chhath Puja was celebrated in Delhi only at 69 places, which was sponsored by the Delhi government. In 2014, the Delhi government used to spend around Rs 2.50 crore on Chhath Puja and celebrate it at 69 places. This time Chhath Puja will be celebrated collectively at 1100 places in Delhi.

The Delhi government will bear the entire cost of celebrating Chhath Puja at these 1100 places. In 2014, Rs 2.50 crore was spent on Chhath Puja before our government was formed. At the same time, we are spending Rs 25 crore on Chhath Puja. The people of Delhi should celebrate the festival of Chhath Puja with great pomp, for this the Delhi government is making arrangements. This time the Delhi government has made a lot of preparations for the people celebrating Chhath festival.

Due to Corona, all the people were locked in their respective homes for two years, but this time everyone will celebrate Chhath Mahaparva with pomp with their families.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that everyone’s safety is most important for us. Delhi Police will extend full cooperation to strengthen the security during Chhath Puja and CCTV cameras are being installed everywhere. Tents, sound system, chair tables will be installed like every year. Multiple LED screens will be installed at various places. Cultural programs are organized in many places, people also come to see it. Delhi now has 24 hours electricity, yet if a fault occurs somewhere and due to it the power goes out at the local level, then we have also arranged for power backup everywhere. Drinking water has been arranged everywhere, so that people do not face any problem. Special arrangements have also been made for cleanliness.

For the convenience of the people, toilet facilities have also been arranged at various places. Apart from this, arrangements for ambulances and first aid have also been made everywhere, so that if anyone falls ill, he can be given first aid.

While wishing Chhath Puja and Diwali to all Delhiites, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that I pray to Chhath Maiya that you all remain very happy. At the same time, all of you are also requested that when you worship Chhathi Maiya, then you will not only ask for blessings for yourself and your family, but also for the health of your countrymen and for the progress and development of the country. All of you will pray to the sixth Maya that now we all get rid of corona. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the intensity of corona has reduced, but is not completely gone yet.

That’s why everyone will also take care of Corona a little and wear a mask. Although the provision of fine has been removed, but your safety is in your own hands. There is no use in being sick. Therefore, you will definitely follow all the guidelines of Corona completely. PLC/GT
