New Delhi – : Chandrayaan-3, the third edition of ISRO’s moon mission, will be launched between July 12 and July 19, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chief S Somnath said.

Final preparations for launch

The ISRO chief was here on Monday to inaugurate a one-day workshop and space exhibition organized at Kothavara St. Xavier’s College. During this, he said that Chandrayaan has already reached the launch pad from UR Rao Satellite Center at Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.

LVM-3 will be used for launching

The ISRO chief said, “Preparations for the final phase are underway. It will be completed by the end of this month. At the same time, the rocket, LVM-3 will be used for this launching. All the parts for this have reached Sriharikota.

There will be many tests before the final launching

Somnath said that the work of connecting the parts of the rocket will also be completed by the end of this month and then the process of connecting Chandrayaan-3 with the rocket will be done. He said that this too would be done in the last week of June and after that there would be several tests.

Chandrayaan-3 test between 12 to 19 July

Somnath said, “July 12 to 19 is the favorable time for launching and we can launch it only then. We can do it later also, but there will be loss of fuel.
