Chandigarh police busted sex racket

The UT police arrested four persons and rounded up five victims, thus busting an alleged flesh trade racket on Saturday. The racket was being operated in a hotel in Daria village in Chandigarh. The police raided the hotel in the evening after it received secret information about the racket. Inspector Narinder Patial, Station House Officer (SHO) said, “We have rounded up five victims and arrested four persons, including the owner of Hotel Royal Plaza, Ashwani Sethi. We have booked them on charges of immoral trafficking”.  Others arrested have been identified as Abhishek, a resident of Panchkula, Gurmeet aka Mehandi, a resident of Manimajra and Hemraj aka Doctor, a resident of Manimajra. SHO said that the accused had been operating in the village for the last few months. The accused were arrested from the hotel on Saturday in the evening. The police had made a special team after receiving the information. The team was headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquarters, Rajesh Kalia.According to police sources, the team sent a fake client to the hotel, who asked for a woman. The person whom they met outside the hotel offered them one girl for a thousand rupees. The fake client then “ordered” five girls who were sent to the hotel. As soon as the girls reached the hotel, the police raided and rounded up the five victims and the four persons who were heading the racket. The SHO said that the four accused had brought the girls from Darjeeling, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. The police was preparing to produce the victims to the SDM by the time of filing this report and the four accused booked on charges of immoral trafficking will be produced in the court .
