CBI registers two more cases on the orders of calcutta high court related to violence and other offences in west bengal
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered two more cases in compliance of the orders of Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta, passed in connection with WPA (P) 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149 & 169 of 2021, dated 19.08.2021 and taken over the investigation of these cases earlier registered at different Police Stations of West Bengal on various allegations.
Out of above, 1st case was earlier registered at Police Station Jhargram, District Jhargram vide FIR No.55/2021 dated 21.03.2021 on the allegations that the accused, residents of Pindrakuli, Jhargram attacked the victim on 21.03.2021 with sharp weapons due to their alleged political rivalry, while the said victim was sitting in a tea stall. The said victim was admitted to Jhargram Super Speciality Hospital. Later, the victim succumbed to injuries.
The other case was earlier registered at Police Station Narendrapur, District-South 24 Parganas vide FIR No.588/2021 dated 06/05/2021 on the allegations that the accused and others attacked the house of the complainant on 05.05.2021 due to alleged political rivalry. It was further alleged that the victim(Complainant’s husband) who tried to intervene the miscreants, was attacked. The said victim was rushed to hospital and on 06.05.2021, he succumbed to injuries.
CBI has so far registered 40 cases and Investigation is continuing in these cases.
