New Delhi,
        The Central Bureau of Investigation has today registered a FIR and a Preliminary Enquiry related to alleged Vyapam Cases.
        The FIR has been registered u/s 120B r/w 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC and Section ¾ of the M.P. Recognised Examination Act, against 18 accused related to alleged illegalities committed in the Forest Guard recruitment test conducted by Vyapam in 2012.
        The Preliminary Enquiry has been registered relating to the unnatural death of Brijesh Rajput, age (25 years) resident of Rajput Veterinary College,Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh). The alleged unnatural death occurred on 22.10.2010 in Jabalpur. Inquest proceedings u/s 174 CrPC were conducted at Police Station Civil Lines, district Jabalpur on 23.10.2010. The deceased was an alleged accused in FIR No. 449/2013 of Police Station Jhansi Road, Gwalior.
        On the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, CBI has taken over the investigation of the said FIR & Inquest proceedings which were earlier registered/conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Police.
        Further process of taking over of remaining cases is under way.
