CBI registers a case against then general manager, NHIDCL for possession of disproportionate assets of Rs.96,68,971/-(approx), and conducts searches
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against then General Manager, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd(NHIDCL), PMU-Mokokchung(Nagaland) for possession of alleged disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs.96,68,971/-(approx). It was alleged that the accused during the period 01.04.2015 to 16.04.2021, had acquired huge assets including movable & immovable amounting to Rs.1,76,05,422/-(approx) including three separate bank accounts i.e Rs.1,13,49,019/-(approx) at Arunachal Pradesh, Rs.42,61,392/-(approx) at Mokokchung(Nagaland) & Rs.3,27,621/-(approx) at New Delhi which were disproportionate to his known sources of income to the tune of Rs.96,68,971/-(approx).
Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused & others including at Bilaspur (Chhatisgarh) which led to recovery of cash of Rs.5 lakh(approx) and other incriminating documents.
Investigation is continuing.
