CBI FILES A CHARGESHEET AGAINST FOUR ACCUSED INCLUDING IMPERSONATORS & CANDIDATES IN A VYAPAM CASE
INVC NEWS New Delhi, The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed a Supplementary charge-sheet in the Court of ADJ, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) against four accused persons including two Impersonators & two candidates U/s 120-B of IPC r/w section 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC and Section 3D/4 of MPRE Act, 1937 in a case related to Madhya Pradesh Pre Medical Test 2013 conducted by Vyapam. The allegations pertain to two separate instances of impersonation of candidates in the PMT, 2013 on 07.07.2013 at the same examination centre, viz. Government Autonomous Girls PG Excellence College, Sagar (MP) in two separate examination halls – room nos. 7 & 8 respectively, by 2 impersonators. In this case all the four accused were already chargesheeted by the Madhya Pradesh Police and the case was pending investigation for collecting further evidence. During CBI investigation, evidence, including expert opinion, have been collected. The accused persons have allegedly committed offences of criminal conspiracy, cheating, cheating by impersonation, forgery of valuable security, use of forged documents as genuine, using unfair means in recognized examination, etc. The instant case no. 305/13 earlier registered at Police Station Gopalganj, Sagar(MP) was one amongst the 72 under trial cases which were ordered by Hon’ble Supreme Court to be transferred to CBI for taking over trial/further investigation. CBI accordingly re-registered the FIR on 06.01.2016 for further investigation after seeking permission from Trial Court U/s 173(8) Cr.PC. The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trail.
