CBI ARRESTS MD OF ICSIL AND ALSO THEN MD OF ICSIL IN AN ON-GOING INVESTIGATION OF A CASE
INVC NEWS New Delhi, The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested Managing Director of Intelligent Communication System India Limited (a Public Sector Undertaking) New Delhi and also then MD of ICSIL in an on-going investigation of a case. It was alleged that both the accused persons acted in conspiracy with other accused (a Public Servant) and awarded tenders to Delhi based private company by violating tender guidelines. The arrested accused persons will be produced tomorrow in the Competent Court at Delhi. CBI had registered a case on 14.12.2015 against a Senior Civil Servant, Govt of NCT, Delhi; MD of Intelligent Communication System India Limited (a Public Sector Undertaking) New Delhi; two then MDs of ICSIL; two then Directors of a private firm of Delhi & the said Delhi based private firm and other unknown persons on the allegations of criminal conspiracy & criminal misconduct. Searches were conducted on 15.12.2015 at 14 places in Delhi and UP at the official & residential premises of accused persons which led to recovery of a large number of incriminating documents including cash of around Rs. 13 lakh (approx). During investigation, five accused persons including a Senior Civil Servant, Govt of NCT Delhi; another official of Delhi Govt; two then Directors of Delhi based private company & a private person were arrested on 04.07.2016. All the arrested accused are presently in police custody. Further searches were conducted on 08.07.2016 at 6 places in Delhi, Noida and Agra at the premises of accused & others which led to recovery of incriminating documents including cash of Rs. 27 lakh (approx) and other articles. Further investigation is continuing.
