CBI arrests an assistant engineer & junior engineer, both of pwd, delhi for accepting a bribe of rs.25,000/-each

New Delhi,

          The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Engineer (Electrical) & a Junior Engineer (Electrical), Sub Division, PWD, GNCTD, Geeta Colony, New Delhi for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000/- each from the complainant.

          CBI had registered a case U/s 120-B of IPC r/w 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on the allegations that the Assistant Engineer (Electrical) & Junior Engineer (Electrical), both of PWD, Geeta Colony, New Delhi were demanding a bribe of Rs. 53,000/- for passing the bills of the complainant. CBI laid a trap and caught both the accused red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000/- each.

          Searches are being conducted today in the office & residential premises of the accused.

          The arrested accused will be produced tomorrow in the Designated Court at Delhi.
