CBI Arrests an Assistant Commandent of CISF and Four Others in a Bribery Case

        The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Commandant & a Sub-Inspector, both of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Dhanbad (Jharkhand)  and three officials of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Lodna Area, Dhanbad in a bribery case of Rs. 31,000/-.
 
        A case was registered U/s 120-B r/w section 7 of PC Act, 1988 on the basis of a complaint from a representative of a private company engaged in purchase/sale of scrap material wherein it was alleged that the accused persons i.e. Assistant Commandant & Sub-Inspector, both of CISF; and 04 officials of BCCL, Dhanbad had demanded different bribe amounts aggregating Rs. 31,000/- per truck for allowing the said company in cutting scrap material from the site, optimum loading and movement of load/truck. 
 
        CBI laid a trap and arrested an Assistant Commandant & a Sub-Inspector, both of CISF and three Officials of BCCL,  while demanding & accepting bribe of total amount  Rs. 31,000/- (ranging from Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 10,000/-) from the Complainant. Searches have been carried out and the relevant documents relating to the case have been recovered. 
 
        The arrested accused were produced today in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Dhanbad and remanded to Judicial Custody. Investigation of the case is continuing.
