CBI arrests a sub inspector and two others in a bribery case
INVC NEWS New Delhi, The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Sub Inspector of Delhi Police, a Constable and a private person in a bribery case. CBI had registered a case on the allegations that the Sub Inspector posted at Police Station- Sangam Vihar, New Delhi was demanding a bribe of Rs.Three Lakh from the complainant for not implicating him in a inquest enquiry being conducted by him regarding the death of the complainant's friend. CBI laid a trap wherein the private person was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant, on behalf of the Sub-Inspector. The Sub Inspector and the Constable were also arrested as their role also allegedly emerged in the bribery case. Searches were conducted at the office & residential premises of the accused. The accused persons were produced today before the Special Judge at Saket Courts, New Delhi and remanded to Judicial Custody.
