CBI arrests a sanitary inspector for accepting bribe of Rs.one lakh
INVC NEWS New Delhi, The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Sanitary Inspector, Cantonment Board, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) for accepting a bribe of Rs.One lakh from the complainant. A case was registered against the Sanitary Inspector, Cantonment Board, Meerut on a complaint. It was alleged in the complaint that the Sanitary Inspector had demanded a bribe of Rs. 10 lakh from the complainant for getting his appointment for the post of Motor Pump Operator in Cantonment Board, Meerut. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed for accepting the bribe of Rs.One Lakh from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the office and residential premises of the accused which led to recovery of documents relating to six properties; one locker key and details of accounts in four banks. The arrested accused was produced today in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Ghaziabad (UP) and remanded to two days Police Custody.
